Do you have a passion for local news and community storytelling? South London News (SLN) invites you to become a volunteer Street Reporter and help bring authentic, grassroots news to the people of South London.

As a Street Reporter, you will

How to Become an SLN Street Reporter

No prior journalism experience is required — only curiosity, integrity, and a passion for storytelling.
All new reporters must first complete the SLN Street Journalism Training Programme, an online, self-paced course designed to teach you the core skills needed to report accurately, ethically, and confidently.

About the Training Programme

Learn the fundamentals of journalism — from news writing to ethical reporting.
Develop skills in mobile journalism, interviewing, and digital storytelling.
Gain practical experience through assignments and mentorship.
Receive an SLN Street Journalism Certificate upon completion.
