  • Defendant: Morden man, unnamed in report.
  • Charges: Making explosives, possessing dagger.
  • Location: Local Sainsbury’s store in Morden.
  • Plea: Denied both charges in court.
  • Context: Incident at supermarket store.
  • Status: Case ongoing, court details pending.

At a hail at Kingston Crown Court, Ryan Swan entered a not shamefaced plea to manufacturing or having an explosive material in Morden, Merton

The 42- year-old Green Lane occupant is indicted of manufacturing or designedly enjoying a volume of black greasepaint without a licit purpose on or before August 19, 2025.

At the time of his arrest, Swan denied enjoying a blade at Sainsbury’s Original on Central Road in Morden.

According to the charge, he’d the pointed or bladed point in a public area without a valid defense or legal authority.

Swan arrived via videotape link from HMP Thameside, dressed in a slate captivity- issue tracksuit.

On February 12, he’ll make another appearance at the same court, and on September 14, he’ll go on trial.

Judge Peter Lodder KC told him:

“Although you are in custody, if you do not attend either of those hearings, they will almost certainly proceed without you.

And, so far as the trial is concerned, if you do not attend, you may not be represented.

Do you understand?”

Swan said:

“Yes, my lord, thank you, my lord.”

What evidence has the prosecution disclosed so far?

No specific substantiation bared by the execution in Ryan Swan’s case has been reported in public sources as of January 12, 2026.

UK Crown Prosecution Service rules require prosecutors to partake material with the defense before trial, but details remain nonpublic during plea sounds like Swan’s at Kingston Crown Court. Routine particulars: police reports, substantiation statements, CCTV from Sainsbury’s, forensic analysis of black greasepaint likely handed intimately post-charge.

Media content focuses on charges( snares possession/ timber, dagger offense) and pleas, forgetting evidential specifics to avoid biasing the September 2026 trial. Judge Peter Lodder KC’s hail addressed procedural matters only.
