Due to “essential maintenance works,” the tram network east of East Croydon Station will be essentially closed for the entire weekend. Today, Transport for London made an announcement.
On Saturday, January 17, all trams will operate normally until 8:30 p.m.
TfL claims that there won’t be any service between:
Beckenham Junction, Elmers End, East Croydon, and New Addington
Trams will run between East Croydon and Wimbledon.
On Sunday January 18, TfL says,
“There will be no service to or from Elmers End, and between East Croydon and Sandilands.”
Trams will run as follows till 10 p.m. on Sunday:
East Croydon and Wimbledon
Beckenham Junction and Sandilands
New Addington and Sandilands
After 10 p.m., trams are anticipated to resume full network operation, with regular service starting on Monday, January 19.
“We are sorry for any disruption caused to your journey,”
TfL said.
