LONDON, UK — May 2026 — UK vocalist, songwriter, author and creative strategist Tashara Forrest has officially announced Bloom, a deeply personal and multi dimensional creative project blending original music, live experience, devotional storytelling and artistic restoration.
At the centre of the campaign is Forrest’s upcoming single “Bloom”, scheduled for release on 20 August 2026 alongside “Bloom Live”, an intentionally intimate live music experience taking place at Tropics 68.
Rather than presenting Bloom as a standalone music release, Forrest has intentionally built the project as a connected creative ecosystem centred around surrender, reflection, renewal and the quiet process of becoming.
The Bloom project includes the single “Bloom”, “Bloom Live”, the devotional Bloom: A 30 Day Journey of Renewal, Reflection & Returning to God, the Bloom guided journal, digital and physical companion experiences, and artist development and creative mentorship resources.
Raised in a deeply artistic and entrepreneurial family, Forrest’s relationship with creativity began from childhood. Her father was a touring musician signed to Virgin under Richard Branson, while her mother was a professional dancer and choreographer who later built a successful career as a corporate treasurer. Surrounded by music, performance, creativity and entrepreneurship from an early age, Forrest spent years immersed in songwriting, storytelling, church singing, dance productions and live performance long before entering the industry professionally.
By the mid 2000s, Forrest was already writing original songs for church projects and contributing to collaborative music releases. In 2008, she wrote the script, composed the songs, creatively directed and helped lead a large scale faith based musical production which premiered at Fairfield Halls, helping pioneer early faith based musical theatre productions within that community space.
Over the years, Forrest’s professional journey has included live entertainment, touring, original music, vocal coaching, artist development and performance work alongside respected artists and live music platforms, including touring with Soul II Soul.
Yet Bloom represents a significant personal shift away from performance driven culture and toward a more honest, spiritually grounded expression of artistry.
“For a long time, I thought I had to make everything bigger in order for it to matter,”
says Forrest.
“But Bloom became an invitation to strip everything back and return to what was real. This season has been less about performance and more about presence. Less about pressure and more about obedience.”
“Bloom Live” intentionally moves away from spectacle and traditional concert culture, embracing stripped back music, storytelling, reflection and emotional honesty. The evening will feature original music, personal reflections and readings from Forrest’s devotional, creating what she describes as “a room for renewal.”
The wider Bloom project also serves as a live expression of Forrest’s artist development framework, “Release Your Music With ExcellenceTM”, a faith rooted system created to help independent artists approach releases with greater clarity, stewardship and intentionality.
Positioned at the intersection of music, faith, creativity and emotional healing, Bloom arrives at a time when audiences are increasingly seeking authentic experiences over high performance, image driven culture.
Forrest describes the project not as a reinvention, but as “a return.”
“This isn’t me becoming someone else,” she says.
“It’s me becoming more honest about who I already am.”
