Parents now have a better understanding of where students consistently did well throughout the 2024–2025 school year thanks to new rankings from the Department for Education that identify the top-performing primary schools in the two boroughs.

With 77% of students attaining the required norm in reading, writing, and math, Bromley received the second-highest ranking in southeast London, according to the report.

Bexley, on the other hand, had the lowest ranking (67%) among the boroughs in southeast London.

With 93% of students attaining the anticipated benchmark, St. Stephen’s Catholic Primary School was the best-performing school in Bexley.

Harris Primary Academy Beckenham Green won first place in Bromley with an even greater score of 97 points.

Due to insufficient data, schools that displayed a zero percent outcome were eliminated from the lists.

Only when students meet the standard in each of the three disciplines are they considered to have met the expected standard overall.

In reading and math, the expected standard is a scaled score of 100 or higher; in writing, teachers evaluate students and determine whether they are “working at the expected standard” or “working at greater depth.”

Applications for elementary school placements must be submitted by January 15 in order to be admitted in September 2026.
